With my departure to Granada just 9 days away, there is a big, dark cloud hovering over my head: the dreaded phenomenon known as packing. This cloud is exceptionally heavy this time around seeing as how I have to pack a 4-month supply of various things into just TWO suitcases. Well little cloud, challenge accepted.
I have already done a little shopping for toiletries, cosmetics, and things I cannot live without, like allergy medicine, but obviously there is still so much more to buy/do. Luckily, I have taken the “plan ahead” approach and it is really keeping my stress levels down and my excitement levels up. I keep a list of things I need to buy, things I need to do, and things I cannot forget to pack (because of course I will). Doing a little at a time allows me to break up the dreaded task of packing into smaller fun tasks– who doesn’t love shopping? and for things they actually need! This weekend I plan on buying things like cute, comfortable shoes and pieces I can layer in this cold weather. [Granada is currently seeing highs of about 55 with plenty of rain, as compared to Southern California highs of 76-80 with plenty of sunshine]
I think I can do this. Maybe. Hopefully. Fingers crossed!

“Adventure is out there!”
If your clothes work together in a capsule wardrobe most of your clothing problems go away. As you’ve stated, layering is an important part of getting clothes to work. I’d suggest some silk underwear and tights as a sneaky/fashionable way to stay warm.
Fully noted! I plan on doing just that. Thank you!
